Congratulations on reaching 14 weeks and 3 days of pregnancy! At this stage, your baby is about the size of a lemon and is growing quickly. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at your baby’s development and what to expect during this stage of pregnancy.
During week 14, your baby’s facial features are becoming more defined. The eyes are moving closer together and the ears are moving into their final position. Your baby is also developing teeth buds, which will eventually become their baby teeth. At this stage, your baby is also starting to produce meconium, which is the first poop they will pass after birth.By week 15, your baby will start growing hair, eyebrows, and eyelashes. They are also developing their sense of hearing and can hear your voice and other sounds. Your baby’s skin is transparent and their veins are visible, but over the coming weeks, fat will accumulate under their skin, making it more opaque.During week 16, your baby’s muscles are getting stronger, allowing them to move more freely. You may start to feel little flutters in your belly as your baby begins to kick and wiggle around. Your baby is also starting to produce urine, which is released into the amniotic fluid.
At this stage, you may start to feel more energetic as your body adjusts to the second trimester. However, you may also experience new symptoms, such as round ligament pain or constipation. Make sure to eat a healthy diet and get plenty of rest to keep your body and baby healthy.
